The residential project designed for low-income individuals in the Republic of the Congo is a prime example of architectural innovation meeting social responsibility. This project encompasses five buildings, each consisting of three floors. The design strategically utilizes the ground floor facing the main street for commercial shops, integrating economic activity into the residential space. In contrast, the inner ground floor is dedicated to car parking, addressing the practical needs of the residents.

The architectural language of the project is modern, with a focus on simplicity and ease of implementation. This approach is deliberate, ensuring that the design is within the financial reach of the anticipated clientele, who are primarily from the lower-income bracket. The simplicity of the design does not compromise on aesthetic appeal or functionality, but rather aligns with the economic constraints and living requirements of the prospective residents.

Situated on a main street, the project benefits from excellent accessibility and visibility, factors that are crucial for the commercial spaces and the overall viability of the residential complex.

Our role in this project was comprehensive, involving the creation of a complete design plan. This included a feasibility study to ensure the project’s economic viability and the preparation of quantity schedules. Additionally, we provided an initial cost estimate for the execution of the project, considering all factors from material costs to labor. The project stands as a testament to how architectural ingenuity can be harmoniously blended with social and economic considerations, creating spaces that are both practical and aesthetically pleasing, while remaining accessible to those with limited financial means.
